Parent Input Needed for Compact

Parents and Guardians, please CLICK HERE to answer a few questions to help us improve our school compact. The Federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires that Title I schools jointly develop with parents a school-parent compact that outlines how parents, the entire school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and the means by which the school and parents build and develop a partnership to help children achieve the State’s high standards (section 1116(d)).  We appreciate your input!!

Important Notice!

If your child has been tested for coronavirus, please do not send your child to school until you receive a negative test result. Please notify the school about the situation so that arrangements can be made for your child to participate in online learning.

If a member of your household has tested positive, please do not send your child to school and call the Florida Department of Health at 863-519-7911 for further direction.  Thank you for your cooperation.

National Guidance Counselor Week 2021

KES is proud to have such a wonderful Guidance Counselor to celebrate for National Guidance Counselor week.  Thank you, Mr. Tommy Pollock, for the great care and concern you show for all of our students!  National School Counseling Week 2021, “School Counselors: All In for All Students,” is Feb. 1-5, 2021, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February.

What is Celebrate Literacy Week?

Celebrate Literacy Week is a yearly initiative from the Florida Department of Education to encourage children to read, as well as, for parents to read to their children. This year’s Celebrate Literacy Theme is, “Humanity Tells a Story: What’s Your Chapter?”

At KES, we celebrated ALL WEEK. Here are some pictures of our Zoom Guest Reader, Mr. Seth Miller, one of the winners of our door decorating contest, and our students dressed up in a college shirt or dressed up as career or profession that they dream of pursuing–being able to read and write is so important to our children’s future.

Students, Parents, Teachers, and Staff, we thank you for your participation!
